Bee Day in Maubourguet

To mark World Bee Day, we invite you to join us all together, around the bee.
On Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., come meet us for a unique day at the heart of our eco-friendly manufacturing site, surrounded by bees. Workshops, talks, and discussions on apitherapy, tastings of our homemade preparations, art exhibitions, garden tours... Immerse yourself in the world of bees

Mini talks

    • 10:30 a.m. Insects in popular imagery (between moths and traditions, from antiquity to the Renaissance)

      Lionel Hignard, ethnobotanist and environmental education facilitator. He has published numerous books, including "L'herbier fantastique" and "Les plantes qui puent, qui pètent, qui piquent"...
    • 1:00 p.m. Bees and honey-producing plants

      Paul Fert, beekeeper, trainer, and author of "12 mois avec mes ruches" and "Mon cahier d'Apiculteur," published by Éditions Rustica.

    • 2:00 p.m. Introduction to aromatherapy and apitherapy

      A talk given by Claudie Bourry, a pharmacist who became an expert in phyto-aromatherapy and is the author of "L'aromathérapie et ses alliés naturels," published by Éditions Terran.

      Claire Dubus, pharmacist.
    • 4:00 p.m. The Healing Bee

      Catherine Flurin will introduce you to Bee Yoga® and the secrets of the Gentle and Energetic Apitherapy program
    • 5:30 p.m. An approach to traditional Chinese medicine and apitherapy

      Christine Grillet, physical therapist, osteopath, and graduate in Chinese energetics, offers this introduction.

      With Emilie, our R&D "worker bee," join a fun and delicious little workshop. On the menu: hive lemonade, pollen-lavender panna cotta, folding honey samosas, and honey-pollen vinaigrette salad. Aprons on!

      Nicolas, our honey expert, will teach you to become a master taster across several workshops throughout the day.

CONCERT 8:30 P.M.: LES ACCORDS'LÉON

When the brass band LES ACCORDS'LÉON decides to throw a gastro-musical banquet, they go all out! Ladies and gentlemen: line up the tables, dress them in your finest tablecloths, and bring out your best silverware to discover the whole musical world of their French-song delicatessen. From their 100%-local-flavor menu, starters, main courses, cheeses, and desserts will be served to the beat of the drum and brass! But will you manage to identify all their melodic ingredients to the sound of the accordion? Come on... take a seat, let yourself be served, and let the music begin!
