Reconnect with the living world, take your place among the bees. Our eco-friendly, self-sufficient Bee House was built as a unique refuge from the modern world, designed to create a space for people who feel cut off from nature. It's a building designed around principles of holistic, minimalist living, meant to bring people back to what it means to be a resident of the Earth. Having already served as a site for Bee Yoga retreats and as an immersive artist residency, it is now available for those seeking to escape the intensity of urban life and recharge body and mind.
Located between forest and field, the Bee House sits near one of the 18-hectare beekeeping sites used by Ballot-Flurin for its hives. As well as being surrounded by these hives for much of the year, it has a Bee Chamber built into its structure, so that it is filled with the vibrations of bees at any time of year. This Bee Chamber is an extra-large version of the ones found in Cauterets, making it suitable for meditation or yoga practice.
The main living area is designed to be simple and comfortable, allowing for an easy return to the natural world. With its large windows overlooking a honey-plant garden and open fields, the space allows for total immersion in the natural world, both indoors and out. Powered by solar energy and supplied by natural water sources, it has everything needed for a short or extended stay, depending on your wishes or needs.
The main bedroom is equipped with a private bathtub carved from pure stone, giving the sensation of bathing in a secluded spring. The bed itself is placed beneath a large skylight, making it easy to gaze at the stars. The Bee House is suited to intimate getaways or small groups, with other spaces that can be converted into sleeping areas.
Located just minutes from Ballot-Flurin's main site, it is highly recommended for those wishing to enjoy some of our other experiences, such as hive-air sessions, or as an added extension to Bee Yoga. But it also stands on its own, as a place to rediscover and reconnect with true nature.
These activities are carefully designed to complement the spirit of the Bee House: immersion, serenity, and natural well-being. Whether to deepen your connection with nature
